MAP test begins

This week we will be taking the Math portion of the MAP test.  We will be testing Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday mornings.  Please make sure your child is well rested and has eaten a good breakfast to ensure they do their best.  We have been working very hard over the last few weeks reviewing information.  WE ARE READY!

Don't forget book reports are due on Thursday, March 31st.

 

A big "thank you" to all my students' parents for attending conferences.  I really enjoyed visiting with you about your child's progress this year.  

A note was sent home on Friday about Dimes for Disasters.  Ellison is collecting money for the American Red Cross to help with recent disasters.

4th quarter is a busy time.  The Math MAP test will be the week of March 28th, and the Communication Arts MAP test will be the week of April 4th. 

The cut-off for book reports for the Reading Circle Certificate is April 26th.  Plans are being made for the End of Year Reading Celebration.

Don't forget to sign and return the Math TEST ALERT for 5 bonus points.  The benchmark test is on Tuesday. 


The Scholastic Book Fair will be going on this week.  Feel free to shop during Parent/Teacher conferences.  Your child will also have an opportunity to shop during the week.

Reminders

Friday is the end of the 3rd quarter.  Parent/Teacher conferences are right around the corner on Wednesday, March 16th or Thursday, March 17th.  You will receive a notice with your conference time on Tuesday.  I am looking forward to visiting with you about your child's progress during the 3rd quarter.
