Reader's Workshop
Sequencing will be our next focus skill. We will learn how to put events from a story in order and focus on our reading comprehension.
Spelling
Word test and skill test will be on Tuesday. Sentence dictation will be on Wednesday.
Writer's Workshop
Our new writing genre is Friendly Letters. We will be learning about the parts of a letter and then writing our own letters.
Math
We will have a Multiplication test on Tuesday. A TEST ALERT and study guide came home with the students.
Science/Social Studies
States of Matter is our next unit in Science. We will learn about the properties of solids, liquids, and gases.
In Social Studies we will begin an Economics unit. We will learn about goods and services, as well as bartering, income, and making a budget.
